Our nation is in trouble. Biden and Pelosi’s failed agenda is crushing California families and unleashing record inflation, a surge in crime, rising taxes, and threats to our national security. Fighter pilot Mike Garcia is standing up to the career politicians in Washington and fighting for the issues Californians care about: putting a stop to inflation, getting our economy back on track, and ensuring the security of our nation and our neighborhoods.
Between gas prices, housing costs and prices for everyday items like groceries, it’s becoming harder and harder to stay afloat in California. Thanks to the record inflation unleashed by the Biden-Harris Administration’s multi-trillion-dollar spending spree, our families and businesses are on the brink. Mike knows what it’s like to raise a family and run a business in California, and he’s seen too many members of our community head for the state line. He’s introduced the Inflation Prevention Act to end the record inflation that’s devastating our families and proposed a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. Garcia is proud to continue his fight to stop reckless spending, cut taxes, and put an end to the failed economic policies that sent our economy spiraling
Mike Garcia believes Social Security and Medicare are a promise we made to our seniors. You uphold your end of the deal by paying into these programs your entire life. It’s the government’s job to uphold its end by making sure these benefits are paid out to you, in full, when the time comes. Mike has always fought to protect these programs and even introduced the Medicare and Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act to ensure that these critical resources are safeguarded for those who rely on them and not wasted by scammers and fraudsters. Garcia has not, and will never vote to cut Social Security or Medicare.
With a proven track record as a leader of job creation and winning new business, while also advocating for minorities and women, Mike Garcia knows what it takes to strengthen our economy. He understands that our economy thrives in spite of government, not because of it, and has fought tirelessly to stop the failed economic policies crushing California families and small businesses. The $35 trillion in debt is unsustainable and will be back breaking in the long run. Unless we do something about it, the interest payments on our debt will soon exceed the military budget and Medicaid. That poses problems for readiness and national security. Navy Admiral and Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Michael Mullen has said that “the single, biggest threat to our national security is debt.”
Mike Garcia knows firsthand the vital role the United States plays as a global force for good, but believes that our top priority must always be national security and protecting the homeland. This starts with securing our borders. Under the Biden-Harris Administration, millions of illegal immigrants have crossed freely into our country with little to no vetting, including known terrorists and violent criminals. Garcia will make it a priority to secure our border and stop this crisis in its tracks. He is also committed to ensuring our men and women in uniform have the support and tools they need to protect America, and will only send them into battle when absolutely necessary.
Defunded law enforcement departments and soft-on-crime prosecutors like George Gascon have combined for a dangerous mix as crime has surged in L.A. County. While the politicians in L.A. and Sacramento have been pushing failed policies like Prop. 47 that undermine public safety and give criminals a pass, Garcia has led the largest illegal drug bust in U.S. history and repeatedly called for the resignation of D.A. George Gascón. Garcia continues to lead the charge to crack down on crime, ensure our law enforcement officers have the resources they need, and keep our neighborhoods safe.
Garcia supports term limits because it’s time to get rid of the career politicians in both parties. Washington, DC truly is a swamp, filled with career politicians who are more concerned with their next election than making tough decisions. The Founding Fathers wanted citizens to step up and serve their community in office for a brief period and then make way for new representation before they lost touch with their constituency.
Mike Garcia believes that Washington and Sacramento have a spending problem, not a revenue problem. California’s taxes are out of control, but but Garcia is fighting to cut taxes, lower the gas tax, protect Prop. 13, and repeal the $10,000 state and local tax deduction limit.
