Mike Garcia Releases Statement on Shameless Lies
Regarding His Position on Abortion
The L.A. Daily News: “It’s sleazy to deliberately mislead the public about what the debate actually is and what the candidates actually think.”
“My political opponents and the big money machines around them have proven for 5 years that they are willing to lie about me with a losing strategy of misleading voters in a desperate attempt to beat me,” said Garcia
“Let me reiterate my position: I oppose a national abortion ban – California’s law on abortion stays the law – and I support exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother. And I’m flatly opposed to any efforts to restrict access to IVF, a critical option that helps countless Americans enjoy the blessing of children.”
This isn’t the first time Democrats have used the same old playbook of lies.
“Smith has been emphasizing the abortion issue since before the Supreme Court’s decision. She has continued to make it a campaign centerpiece… Garcia has remained focused on economic issues like inflation and taxes. He has asserted the Supreme Court’s decision would not affect abortion access in California.”

Far left radicals are weaponizing the abortion issue knowing that Garcia recognizes California’s current laws as the law of the land. It’s a state issue and not a federal one.
These types of tactics are meant to distract voters from the soft-on-crime agenda and the failed economic policies that have unleashed record inflation on California families. Even the LA Daily News has said it was “sleazy to deliberately mislead the public.”

Mike Garcia believes in a strong national defense and is a pro-business, pro-taxpayer, political outsider with nearly 20 years of service to this country as one of the first Super Hornet strike fighter pilots in the Navy. A first-generation American whose father immigrated to the US in 1959, Garcia is a highly decorated US Naval Officer and successful businessman. The new 27th District encompasses the cities of Santa Clarita, Palmdale, Lancaster, Granada Hills, and Porter Ranch. The ethnic breakdown is 44.9% White, 10.6% Black, 9.5% Asian and 33.3% Hispanic.
