“Our system of elections is the cornerstone of our great nation. Americans have every right to expect our elections to be safe, secure and transparent. The progressive effort in Washington, and across the country, to eliminate basic security measures like voter ID and give politicians millions of dollars from hardworking taxpayers to attack their opponents is a recipe for disaster.
“Voter ID should be the law in all 50 states, every legitimate vote should be counted and every state should update their registration rolls on a regular basis.
“We must take steps to increase security, transparency and accountability, not rid our system of the safeguards that protect our electoral process. That’s why I’m proud to co-chair the Election Integrity Caucus and fight every day to stop far-left progressive politicians from passing HR1 to ban voter ID and fund their attack ads with taxpayer dollars.
“While Texas Democrats are fleeing their own state to block efforts to bolster election security, I remain committed to making sure voters know that their voices are being heard in fair and secure elections.”
