“In the wake of the COVID-19 response, workers and the local economy need more help than ever. Countless charity organizations have taken leading roles in providing much-needed resources for local communities over the last three months, according to Garcia’s office.

“‘Throughout my entire life, I have felt this inherent need to serve my country and my community,’ said Garcia. ‘Even now in my new role in Congress, I cannot help but be inspired by so many organizations that give so selflessly to help those who need it the most…’

“‘Politicians should not be immune from the economic impacts of COVID-19 and we need to get in the boat and help row. Now is the time to help those who have helped us,’ said Garcia. ‘I am honored to help the local economy and community with this financial commitment.’

“Members of Congress and their staff are paid on the last day of each month. Garcia is set to decide what non-profit will receive the donation towards the end of each month, according to officials.”

Mike Garcia believes in a strong national defense and is a pro-business, pro-taxpayer, political outsider with nearly 20 years of service to this country as one of the first Super Hornet strike fighter pilots in the Navy and is a highly decorated US Naval Officer.
