Garcia Raises Nearly A Quarter Million Dollars in Less Than Three Months.
Today, former Naval Officer and fighter pilot Mike Garcia announced he will report nearly $250,000 in his first reporting period of the campaign.
The support for Mike Garcia as he runs for California’s 25th Congressional District continues to grow in the short time since announcing his campaign. Recently, over a dozen current and former elected officials, including former Congressmen Buck McKeon and Elton Gallegly who previously represented the majority of the congressional district, publicly endorsed Garcia’s run against incumbent Katie Hill.
“I am incredibly humbled by the vast amount of support we’ve received since becoming a candidate for Congress,” Garcia said. “Folks across the district know that I will fight for them and will stand up against the socialist agenda Katie Hill and her big supporter Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are trying to push in Washington. While Katie Hill is being financially rewarded by liberal special interests for pushing Ocasio-Cortez and Nancy Pelosi’s agendas, I will continue to spread our message of defending freedom and protecting our country just as I did for nearly 20 years in the United States Navy.”
Garcia, a first-generation American citizen, is a highly decorated United States Naval Officer who was honored with becoming one of the first F/A-18E Super Hornet strike fighter pilots in the Navy. He flew over 30 combat missions during Operation Iraqi freedom over Baghdad, Fallujah, and Tikrit.
California Congressional District 25 includes parts of northern Los Angeles County and part of eastern Ventura County. It includes the cities of Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, Palmdale, Lancaster, and the northern part of the San Fernando Valley.
